How to be attractive and tell if a girl likes me?

Be yourself, but thats what everyone says. If its a specific girl then try to find out what she likes and work off of that. If she likes funny guys then be funny, if she likes whatever then do that. Try to find stuff in common. Just be kind and caring. Talk a lot more. Get out in the open. Try to communicate and get as much time in as you can with that person you want to go to prom with or trying to get her to like you. There's always someone out there for somebody. Just because you think your not a looker doesn't mean somebody else sees you like that. Also don't try to go with the trend or be someone that your not. If I can think of anything else I'll continue. Confidence is the key. Don't be shy. Then again some girls like guys that are shy and think the are cute. It's really hard. It's like an equation. You need to find the right steps or parts and then you will come to a solution. Sometimes it takes longer then others. Have faith in yourself. If you don't have a date to prom. Don't sweat it. You can still charm the ladies afterwards.
