Cat has large pouch hanging from chest?

My 2 year old cat recenlty developed a large sagging pouch chest/armpit area, it hurts him and he walks with a limp and it kind of feels like its fat but it hurts him and just hangs. We have an apt. for a vet on wednesday, any ideas on what it could be? He shows no sign of being in a fight and he is eating normal. Thanks
