When a girl calls your cute/adorable?

Girls seem to always say im cute/adorable never hot/sexy. What does that mean? makes me feel like a little kid. Am I not datable but still okay looking? I would say I looker younger for my age and im not super tall. I dont know if i should take it as a compliment because it makes me feel like im a child or some kind of pet.
